The In-Between

Exhibition / Performance
The Bakery, Atlanta, GA

The In-Between is an exhibition developed from a three-day durational performance examining transitional states of identity, focusing on the threshold between past formation and emergent self.

Across three days, the work unfolded as a process of exposure, where what is typically internal became externalized, spatialized, and shared. Rather than resolving, the performance accumulated through gesture, duration, and presence. Following the live action, the installation remained, holding the residue of these encounters within the space.

The environment functioned as an immersive structure where personal and collective experiences intersect. Viewers were invited to move through the space, engaging with moments that shape identity but often remain unresolved. The work does not present a fixed narrative but operates as an open system, where memory, emotion, and bodily experience are re-encountered over time.

The In-Between positions vulnerability as a shared condition. Audience members are not only observers but participants within a field of recognition shaped through proximity and duration. The exhibition establishes a threshold between who one has been and what one is in the process of becoming.
