An Annual Performance Exhibition

High Visibility

Atlanta Photography Group, Atlanta GA

Atlanta Photography Group (APG) and WUSSY Mag present ‘High Visibility’, a group exhibition featuring over fifteen Atlanta LGBTQIA+ photographers.

The launch of the virtual exhibition coincided with Atlanta Pride’s 50th Anniversary, a time of celebration and remembrance for the Queer artists and outcasts who came before us. Despite the setbacks, Southern Queers remain determined and resilient — an exhibition a month before one of the most critical elections of our lifetime.

Two virtual artist talks launched the following weeks after the exhibition opening;  Identity and Queer Performance in Photography, co- moderated by curators GETSAY and Michael James O’Brien, and Exploring Queer, Black Southern Identity through Photography, moderated by Curator/Photographer Le’Andra LeSeur.

#StartTalkingStopHIV: Stories of Southerners living with HIV through art

ANNEX Gallery, Atlanta GA

#StartTalkingHIV: Stories of Southerners Living with HIV Through Art. The goal of the exhibition was to center the views and experiences of those living with HIV in our conversations and art revolving around HIV/AIDS.

In the Summer of 2019 and 2020, Living Walls launched an annual event series aimed to spark a community conversation about HIV/AIDS and prevention strategies. This project was inspired by and in support of the national #StartTalkingStopHIV campaign.

The event series included seven-panel discussions and two mural unveilings focused on encouraging the community to join the conversation around HIV/AIDS and prevention strategies. This project seeks to reduce HIV infections by encouraging open and safe discussions between sex partners and friends about HIV/AIDS.

We partnered with Southern Fried Queer Pride, Wussy Magazine, Morph Atl, La Choloteca, and Out Front Theatre to curate seven events focused on HIV awareness. These events were free of cost to the community. The goal of this project was to help humanize a condition that still holds so much stigma and inspire the art for the mural.

The Art of Protest

The Bakery, Atlanta Ga

THE ART OF PROTEST is inspired by history, current events, and the resistance movement. An annual exhibition sponsored by the Women’s Caucus for Art of Ga.

The 2019 Art of Protest show at the Bakery in Atlanta raised funds to support local Atlanta Muralists covering up Squishie Puss Murals and Art throughout Georgia. Ray Greier, the name behind Squishie Puss, was accused and confirmed of sexually harassing several artists in the Atlanta Art Community. After allegations arose, the Atlanta Art community came together to cover up all of his work. The Art of Protest was an effort to bring Women, non-binary, gender-nonconforming, and allies' work to the forefront of Atlanta's art movement and erase the work of the assaulters. I AM

The National Center for Civil and Human Rights

I AM a one-night exhibition joining Artists, Activists and people living with HIV to tell the stories of Atlanta residents living with HIV.

The exhibition's goal was to illustrate the importance of those living with HIV and highlight those experiences in our conversation and work revolving around HIV/AIDS.

A moderated panel discussion followed the exhibition discussing the importance of using art as activism, personal stories of those living with HIV/AIDS, and art as a tool to show the lives and perspectives of people living with HIV.

A 2017 exhibit sponsored by the LGBT Institute at the National Center for Civil and Human Rights.
